Wham-Os hi rigidity Ultimate discs, also called the HDX, is a disc that is well-suited to more than one purpose. This disc was initially used for freestyle play, because it it easy to control for certain types of tricks. The lighter versions are still used mainly for recreation and freestyle games.

The heavier versions of this disc have become popular as frisbee Ultimate discs. They still allow you the control and finesse of freestyle discs but give you the distance for long passes across the field. While not an official UPA disc, it is close enough for many team captains to agree to use it in their games.

Indeed, the Ultimate frisbee rules allow for the use of Wham-Os hi rigidity Ultimate discs in tournament play-if both team captains and the tournament director agree to it. It is close enough to the specifications that it is often allowed by team captains. It is sometimes fun to change up the game a bit by using a disc you would not normally use.

Hi Rigidity Ultimate Discs from the Originator
Hi rigidity Ultimate discs come from a long line of flying discs from the Wham-O company. Though the original plastic discs origins are the subject of some controversy, no one argues against Wham-Os taking the flying disc to new heights of popularity. Wham-Os original Frisbee may not have started the wave; but it certainly rode it in.

U Max Ultimate discs are yet another disc in a line of new discs from Wham-O. Unlike the hi-rigidity Ultimate discs, the U Max discs were designed and created especially for use in games of Ultimate. They match the UPAs specifications for size, weight, structure, and broad flight characteristics.

The U Max frisbee Ultimate discs may be used in tournaments where specific discs are not required. They are heavy enough to cut through cross winds and domed enough to maintain loft across an entire playing field. It is one of Wham-Os heaviest discs; but with their experience, they were able to keep it well-balanced.

U Max Ultimate discs are forays into the world of Ultimate. With an estimated 100,000 players worldwide, the Ultimate crowd is too big a market to pass up. Major disc golf companies like Innova are introducing discs designed specifically for Ultimate. Fortunately for them, the Ultimate rules say any disc matching the specifications may be used.

U Max Ultimate Discs Follow the Frisbee
U Max Ultimate discs are some of the latest in a long line of flying discs stretching back more than 50 years. Though there is disagreement over who should receive what proportion of credit for inventing the plastic flying discs, Wham-Os Frisbees certainly took the prize for exposure. They brought the flying discs to national prominence.

Disc golf is a game of strategy and skill every bit as much as traditional ball golf is. You must deal with many of the same hazards-trees, water, wind, others players. Playing Disc Golf like a Pro
If you take the time to learn and practice, you should be able to play disc golf at an intermediate level in no time. To play like a pro will require diligence and patience. Read books and articles, visit online forums and talk to people who are more skilled than yourself. Feel free to ask stupid questions; that is how you get better.

The more you practice with your Skill Shot, the better your short game will be. Putting is more than half the battle for most players and the ability to practice with a realistic target can shave many strokes off your short game. Who knows, you may even improve your long game. For the money and the convenience, the Skill Shot is a good investment.

The Mini Ching Skill Shot is like a shrunken copy of the larger portable target. The regular Ching Skill Shot weighs in at around 20 pounds; whereas the mini version weighs in at just four pounds. This takes the portability and ease of set-up of the larger version to almost ridiculous new heights.

Standing at just 30 inches tall, the Mini Ching Skill Shot is small enough to be used indoors as well as outdoors. The mini Skill Shot is manufactured in the same way as its larger namesake and is just as easily folded down small enough to fit into a 15 inch carrying case. That is small enough and light enough to leave in your car.

The only drawback to practicing exclusively with the Mini Ching Skill Shot is that the basket is so small that it can not really hold larger discs. Small approach discs can fit but the best fit comes from mini discs. Practicing with mini discs may help your aim and judgment of distance but it will do little for your throw.

The Point of the Mini Ching Skill Shot
The mini Skill Shot is an effective piece of practice equipment. The more you work on your short game, the better you can recover from poor tee shots. If you get your aim and distance judging down, you can park it from anywhere within your range. Then you are guaranteed a two-putt; and that makes a big difference in your game.
